CDNLive! Shanghai 2010 brought together over 400 Cadence® technology users, developers, ecosystem partners and industry experts to share ideas, educate and network with each other.

Customers from over 95 Chinese and international companies and institutes joined this one-day conference with Cadence technology user and developer presentations and visiting partners in the EDA ecosystem at the Designer Expo.


James Liu, Country Manager of Cadence China, opened the event with an overview of Cadence China and latest customer success news in China.

Lip-Bu Tan, president and CEO of Cadence, gave a keynote titled “Recovery and Transform” about the global electronics industry dynamics and trends.

Shangzhou Jiang, president of China Semiconductor Industry Association and Chairman of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation, gave industry keynote on “China IC Industry Analysis and Outlook” sharing his observation and vision for the China IC industry.

John Bruggeman, Cadence CMO, launched the EDA360 vision to the audience during his keynote titled “Realizing EDA360”.

Lip-Bu joined the panel titled China IC with EXPO with other four industry executives – Dr. Shaojun Wei, Professor of Tsinghua University, Chris Chi, Chief Business Officer of SMIC, Dr. Wayne Dai, Chairman and CEO of VeriSilicon, Inc., and Biao Zhang, CEO of Huaya Micro. The panel was moderated by Raymond Su, Chief Editor of EETimes China. They shared their new ideas and visions for the IC industry from business and technology perspectives.

In the afternoon, thirty-three Cadence technology user and developer presentations were delivered in five tracks: IP, System and functional verification, PCB and IC packaging, Digital implementation and Custom design.

The event closed with an award dinner.
