Cadence OrCAD products recently won the 2007 Electronics For You (EFY) Readers' Choice Award in the category of Design & Simulation Software. With a readership of half a million people, EFY is a leading technical magazine in India and is currently celebrating its 39th year of operations in the region.
Nominees for the EFY Readers' Choice Awards in 26 product categories were selected based on rankings given by the readers. The respondents varied across industry segments, but mainly represented the electronics industry along with other types of technical professionals and associations from different parts of the country.
The readership rankings were combined to determine the top five nominations in each category. In addition to Cadence, this year's nominees were MATLAB (MathWorks), LabVIEW (National Instruments), and AutoCAD.
A leading independent market research company in India, IMRB, did the research and analysis to select the winner. IMRB conducted surveys and interviews spanning multiple vectors, including product capability and reference ability.
A minister in the Indian Central Government presented the awards at a gala Award Ceremony. Accepting the award were representatives from Cadence, including Cadence vice president of Allegro R&D, as well as from AMDL, Cadence's Channel Partner in India.
