RivieraWaves Cuts Debug Cycle 30% for Low-Power IP

Startup verifies next-generation Bluetooth 4.1 IP using Incisive Enterprise Simulator and SimVision debug technology

RivieraWaves, a startup specializing in wireless connectivity semiconductor intellectual property (IP), migrated from Open Verification Methodology (OVM) to Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) for its next-generation Bluetooth® 4.1 IP designs. Working under aggressive timeframes, the company sought a verification solution that would enable it to get its IP verified and integrated into Bluetooth devices much faster than was previously possible.

Already a user of Cadence® Incisive® verification technologies, RivieraWaves opted to use Cadence Incisive Enterprise Simulator, the SimVision unified debug analysis environment, and Cadence Incisive Enterprise Manager for its newest IP designs.

As a result, RivieraWaves:
  • Reduced the debug cycle in its overall verification project by 30%
  • Achieved faster time to market, delivering its IP solutions to its customers quicker than previously possible
  • Enhanced the quality and robustness of its IP
“We’ve had great success using Cadence solutions, and Cadence has done a great job supporting us from day one. As a startup, we really appreciate and rely upon Cadence as part of our team and as an essential part of our success.”
Benjamin Lauret, Senior Hardware Engineer, RivieraWaves
