The Linley Processor Conference is one of the premier processor conferences, where industry experts announce new products, unveil new technology, and discuss market trends in communications systems.
Listen to the presentation, “The Tenth Generation Xtensa Customizable Processor,” by Tensilica Founder and Cadence Fellow Chris Rowen in Session 5 from 3:05pm – 4:30 pm on October 16.
The next generation of Cadence® Tensilica Xtensa customizable processors, being introduced at this conference, are optimized, tightly coupled digital signal processing (DSP) offload processors with a higher performance memory subsystem and enhanced debug support. Offering significant power savings and designed for high-speed, innovative data flows, this new generation has the flexibility to be ideal for data-intensive mobile, enterprise, and carrier applications.
Visit Cadence at the reception and see our exhibits from 4:40pm – 6:00pm on October 16.
Chris Rowen was a member of the founding team at MIPS. Filling a variety of roles, he became VP of microprocessor development and head of their European operations when Silicon Graphics acquired the company. In 1996 he moved back to California to be VP and GM of Synopsys' Design Re-Use Group. He left Synopsys to start Tensilica because he had an idea for a unique processor architecture that was designed, from the beginning, to be easily and automatically configurable and extensible.
