  • can't plot waveform while simulating in cadence virtuoso via spectre

Hello! I can't plot waveform while simulating in cadence virtuoso IC 6.1.5 via spectre. When I initiate Netlist and Run (green button), these are the results: Delete psf data in /home/eda/simulation/R_div/spectre/schematic/psf. generate netlist... Begin Incremental Netlisting Apr 6 23:23:36 2014...

  • Re: Insufficient memory to run PSS analysis - how to resolve?

Hi apaj, This is a very quick reply, as I don't have time to delve into this.... You may want to contact Customer Support for additional assistance. If you are using s-parameters, use the harmonic balance engine, rather than the shooting Newton engine. HB is much better suited to simulate s-parameters...

  • Re: cdma_2ms_data

How the files are generated are briefly discussed here (http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:DocumentViewer;src=pubs;q=/spectreRFTheory/spectreRFTheory13.1/chap2.html ) The files are listed as cdma_2ms_idata and cdma_2ms_qdata . The stored signals were created with the CDMA signal...

  • Re: pss insufficient memory problem

Hi, 1. Yes, MMSIM10.1 and 12.1.X are a lot different. Better yet, go to 13.1. 2. That is not what I was asking for. In the netlist, there is a "save" statement. It will tell how many nodes and nets are saved. If you "save all" (for example), that can cause issues. Saving only selected...

  • Re: pss insufficient memory problem

For questions like this, it is better to file a Case with Customer Support . Your versions of spectre are very old. You should be using MMSIM 12.1.1 or better yet MMSIM 13.1 . You didn't mention how many nets/nodes that you were saving. Only save the most important ones. It is helpful to see the...

  • Pspice model errors in Virtuoso

Hi Guys I am trying to simulate MAX9643U and EL7202 (using their Pspice models) as a part of my design, in Virtuoso. While I have reviewed many similar problems and solutions in this informative website, I still can not overcome the errors. 1) MAX9643U (the model is available here: http://www.maximintegrated...
