  • Misalignment of schematic while porting

    When I am porting schematic library from x foundry to y foundry (for now assume all other instance properties like width length etc are same), there is misalignment so net connectivity is lost. For example if i have nmos in x foundry on converting to Y foundry it is getting shifted and rotated. So what...

  • could not launch skillDev IDE

    Hi, there. I'm currently using IC6.16. I tried to invoke skillDev IDE from the CIW window and the only message I got was: Loading skillDev.cxt but nothing happened after that. I looked at the CDS.log and here it is \# Program start time UTC 2014.04.23 10:25:12.230 \# Local time Wednesday 23 April...

  • Re: Getting schematic instances from multiple open schematics

    Thanks. Both are excellent suggestions. But I'm doing this to select instances for an ADE-XL session. So I found an easier way to do this & tired using "asiSelectInst" with this code: ;get a unique form handle win = sprintf( nil "%s" hiGetCurrentWindow() ) form = concat( 'iphdcopTabForm...

    Hi, I'm using IC5141 and I'm trying to add a custom menu to CIW, procedure( Menu_CIW() ciwMenuInit() menu_ciw = hiCreatePulldownMenu( 'Menu_CIW "CusTools" list( menuItem_1 menuItem_2 menuItem_3 ) ) hiInsertBannerMenu( window(1) menu_ciw 3 ) ) and I've add a line in .cdsinit...

  • hierarchy delete

    Hi, is there any skill code that would delete hierarchically all the cells/views (layout, schematic, symbols, etc) of a given circuit block in a library? Thanks in advance.

  • SKILL code to alter contact size

    Hi, I streamed in GDS from 0.35um into 0.18um process and like to have a script to automatically shrink each contact size (contact width/length) to meet the 0.18um DRC. Does anybody know how to do this in batch with SKILL command? Thanks!

  • Tracing connectivity of a net in layout [IC6]

    Hi, I am trying to write a SKILL code to trace a net in a layout view. Suppose in a current cellview i have 4 instances, and a net which is connected to 2 instances, the code has to give out the instance name & port name to which the net is been connected. Adding to this, schematic view for this...

  • triggering the done procedure for enterPoints()

    I am using an enterPoints function that does not seem to recognize use of the Enter key, or a double click (typical done trigger for enterPath) as triggers for its done procedure. How does one trigger the done procedure for enterPoints? The esc key is recognized as a cancel function. The form contains...

  • reseting instance labels

    Hi all. Is there any way to reset all the labels (instance names) in a schematic view hierarchially? Thanks in advance.

  • Skill code to get the selected instance's position (wrt topLevel) in the schematic hierarchy

    Hi there, As the subject suggests, there is a MOS in a subcircuit which I want to reference it to use it in extracting info during simulation like VDS etc. Ex. a Mos named N0 is in the instance of the subcircuit named "inst1" which inturn is a part of a bigger subcircuit "Inst2" in...
