SKILL multipartpaths

  • Re: Slotted Metal paths

Hi Lawrence, thanks for your reply and thank you for the script. I agree about the age of the code. I was hoping there might have been some update to it based on its age and the ubiquitousness of the application. I would like to enhance the form input to accept user defined bus widths without limitation...

  • Slotted Metal paths

Does anyone know of an updated version of the CCSslotMetal.il script for slotted metal paths? This code is very old and has little flexibility for things like defining the size of the slots, width of the path, etc.

  • Add function into rodCreatePath

Hi all, I've been reading your posts for about 2 months, I'm trying to learn skill and they're very useful! thanks. I'm asking for help here because I don't know how to do properly the next thing: I want to add for example 100 lines of subRects with a separation of 1 to my MultiPart...

  • SKILL global replace layer within ROD multipart-path

I'm currently writing some SKILL to globally search and replace layers in an existing layout(using leSearchHierarchy and leReplace). This works fine, but does not work on mult-part paths(or at least on the subShapes of the MPP). I am able to find the ROD object using rodGetObj and testing the items...

  • Re: How to draw outlines when using enter functions?

Hi, The outline that is drawn by the enterFunctions are limited, basically they are boxes that stretch during data entry. As you have noted, the outline feedback that you get from the Multi-Part Path command is much more detailed. Unfortunately there seems to be no SKILL access to this feature as it...

  • Re: How to send points from layout window to draw a multipart path

At the risk of criticism, I will repeat myself here and point you to a useful solution that contains an example of using enterPath() to gather points from the user and pass these on to a call to the rodCreatePath() function that creates a Multi Part Path. Here is the solution code: CIC SKILL Code Library...

  • Re: How to create shielded path?

Hi, Sorry if I have already pointed you to this code, but I think that it contains all that you need How can I created slotted metal paths? You will see in this code that there is use of the enterPath function, as well as an options form (CCSslotMetalForm) for the command ("CCSslotMetal" in...

  • Re: Can we draw mutlipath different width and spacing at the same time?

Hi, Yes, with a multipart path the "offset sub paths" can certainly have different widths and separation from the master path. Here is a brief section from the documentation on the rodCreatePath() SKILL function that you use to create a multi-part path: rodCreatePath( [?name S_name] ?layer...

  • ocean problem &ocnPrint!

I write ocean script for parameter analysis and use ocnPrint to print some simulation result. For example: fp=outfile( "./paramResults.out" "a" ) risetime_netA=riseTime(clip(VT("/C5") 5e-08 9e-08) 0 nil VAR("core_voltage") nil 10 90)*1e09 ocnPrint(?output fp ?numSpaces...
