  • Drill Chart Figures Missing

Hey all~ I generated a Drill Chart using Manufacture-->NC-->Drill Legend and using the default-mil.dlt template. I have 8 drills in my design, 5 plated, 3 non-plated. Only the first plated drill in the chart shows a symbol figure. The other 7 don't show any symbol figures for their respective...

  • Drill Chart Rectangle Line Width

Hey all, Being fairly new to PCB Designer, I'm going to try and be detailed in what I've tried and what has worked for some of my related problems in hopes that it will help others just starting with the tool. I've found other posts give options/answers, but I'm unable to find where these...

  • Re: Skill version support

Hi, Skill support in Allegro PCB Design L tiers are limited to load at startup. So you cannot load them while inside a PCB Editor session. You can use the attached allegro.ilinit inside your pcbenv directory, make sure to open the file in a text editor and change the first line to a path for your skill...

  • Re: How to change Ref. designator size

Hi, Another way to change text sizes generally is to change the text block settings. If you want to change textblock 4 to something else everywhere it is used on the board you can use Setup, Design Parameters, Text and click Setup Text Sizes. You could also just type "define text" at the command...

  • Re: Part Developer Symbol Editor will not display grid.

Okay, I "think" I've figured out some of these things. My environment variables were set correctly, but the program still would "see" the footprint. I had to type in the footprint within parenthesis in the "Alt Footprint" box to get my footprint into the Part Developer...

  • Part Developer Symbol Editor will not display grid.

Two main questions in this post: How do I get the symbol grid to display in Part Developer? How do I attach my own custom PCB footprint to schematic symbol? I'm using Cadence 15.2 and I am in the Allegro PCB Design HDL 220 : Part Developer. All the tutorials and PDF's I've been reading show...
