Differential Pair Support

  • routing diff pairs in 16.2

I have just switched from 15.5 to 16.2. There are a lot of differences but I think I have everything set up correctly (we had some on site classes). I am having a hard time routing diff pairs in 16.2 though. The biggest problem I am having is with the spacing between the diff pair. I route them out correctly...

  • Net pairs on same layer

Hello, I am trying to find a way to have pairs of nets follow the rules of a "diff. pair" except I do not want them to follow the same path. I prefer them to be separated from each other and can actually have other nets between them. They do need to be an the same layer however and be equal...

  • Phase Tolerance: Proper pin pair setup

I am attempting to use phase tolerance to control some relative length rules within a differential pair. The topology is essentially 3 components which I will call A, B and C. The signal goes from a pin on comp A to one on comp B and continues on from B to a pin on comp C. I would like to set phase tolerance...

  • What's Good About Differential Pair Support in Allegro PCB Editor? More Features in SPB16.2

Some very helpful new features for Differential Pair support are available in in the SPB16.2 release. Differential Pair Regions A major enhancement made to Diff Pairs in the SPB16.2 release involves the use of Regions to define Diff Pair Line Width and Gap. Prior to 16.2, a change of line width/gap on...

  • Re: Allegro SI - problem in creating a new DesignLink

I finally fix it, it takes me some time. It was a bad device class for a test point. It seemed that the final connector was not seen. For information I run the version SPB16.01 David

  • Differential pairs disappears in CMGR

We have a problem with differential pairs that disappears after exiting Constraint Manager. When we create a differential pair, save and exit CM and then go back into CM, they are gone. We think it depends on XNET and serial capacitors. Do anyone else seen this?

  • What's Good About Differential Pair Support in PCB Librarian?

You may recall a post I made a couple months ago about What's Good About Differential Pair Support in ASA? In order to establish Differential Pair support for Design Entry HDL (DEHDL), the SPB16.01 release included enhancements to PCB Librarian which allow designers to define diff pair pins. With...
