  • How to use standard cells in Virtuoso

Hi, I've a standard cell library from a vendor. I want to know if there is any way to do transient analysis on cells from this library using ADE. Eg. There is a cell named AN2 (2 input AND gate) in my standard cell library. I want to do transient analysis of this cell using ADE. So far what I've...

  • Pspice model errors in Virtuoso

Hi Guys I am trying to simulate MAX9643U and EL7202 (using their Pspice models) as a part of my design, in Virtuoso. While I have reviewed many similar problems and solutions in this informative website, I still can not overcome the errors. 1) MAX9643U (the model is available here: http://www.maximintegrated...

  • set up parametric simulation to utilize multiple cores

Hi, I am using Cadence 6.1.5 and spectre to run transient simulations. I wish to run parametric simulations on a few variables in my design. The workstation I have access to has 32 cores and typically more than half of them are free. May I know how I can set the parametric simulations in a way that parallel...

  • Re: Problem in Cadence Virtuoso AC analysis

Hi Andrew, I had a little doubt on what parameters are explicitly needed for ac analysis. This is because I am using verilog -A based models and hence want to be sure if I am doing the right thing. As far as I know, AC analysis first computes the DC operating point: so I must define current at each operating...

  • Problem in Cadence Virtuoso AC analysis

Hi all, I am facing an often discussed problem while simulating a differential pair in cadence virtuoso. Though I have biased the transistors through DC (though they are in subthreshold mode), yet when I try do do ac analysis (I follow all regular steps) I get a zero magnitude at output. Ths schematic...

  • where can I find the 'rcut' variable to change it? Cadence 6.15.509

Hi, I have a customized electronic model for my circuit input. This model contents some resistor larger than 'rcut' which is now equals to 1e12 Ohm in my cadence setup. I guess this limit can be changed. But I couldn't find where to change? Any body has expirences on this? Thanks -- Kangqiao
