  • How to Handle a floating output?

Hi, what is a common practice in IC design, when, for example, a Q output od a D flip-flop is not used. Is it left floating, pulled up/down with a resistor or any other load? Kind Regards, pitter.

  • VerilogA Problem in MMSIM-7.1

Hi, I am having a problem to simulate my verilogA files under MMSIM 7.1. They work fine under MMSIM-6.0. In spectreout, I get: ERROR (VACOMP-1008): Cannot compile ahdlcmi module library. Check the log file input.ahdlSimDB/3821_soi12so_Test_Tapeout_Sept09_BinarySearch_veriloga_veriloga.va.BinSearch.ahdlcmi...

  • Input power of a subcircuit

Hi, I'm simulating with an envlp + pss simulation a rectifier and I would like to estimate the power that goes in input to a subcircuit that implements it. The input voltage of the subcircuit is constant and the current is given by a constant plus an alternating contribution. I tried the following...

  • AEL expression in CDF

Hi, I'm trying to modify a resistor value in its CDF via an conditional expression as below (iPar("b1")==1) ? iPar("p3") : iPar("p4") where b1, p3 and p4 are previously defined in the CDF. The AEL reference document lists "?:" as a valid operator. But it doesn't...

  • Process Corners set up problem

Basically I know how to set up a process corners for multiple model library, however some fab provide model files which include several different device sections in one file. For example, there is a model file "mos.scs" which include sections like "tt", "ss", "ff"...

  • Re: How to plot device parameters from transient sims.

Hi haiko, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately it does not answer my question. Let me try to be more specific: I already know how to open results, view and plot voltages and currents in ocean and analog artist. I want to plot the small signal parameters of the BSIM4 model of some transistors during...

  • How to plot device parameters from transient sims.

Hello, I would like to plot gm, gds, cgs, cgd, etc. as a function of time in my spectre transient sims using analog artist. How do I do this? Thanks, Eric.
