  • Display operating point

Hi, I am using CMOS 90nm technology in cadence and I just wonder how I can display the region of operation, gm, and id etc for my transistors. I tried the same steps that we used to do for cmosp18 technology in cadence but I couldn't succeed. Thanks. -Santosh

  • Statistical values manipulation - Monte Carlo

Dear, Using IC5141 with MMSIM70 a have a doubt concerning Monte Carlo simulation. For a given Histogram is that possible to collect the statistical data (mean and/or standard-deviation) and manipulate this on the ADE Calculator? For example, if I want to obtain the Coefficient of variation which is defined...

  • Schematic Design, ADE L, Spectre

I try to analyse example of analog scheme (invert from examples of Ethernet). When I launch ADE L from Schematic and try to simulate and plot, nothimg appears. Is this message error? Where can I view simulation (simulation error) log? How do I launch simulation and see results of any analyses type? You...

  • Re: A problem in spectre netlist generation

Thanks to your reply!! I compared the environment of the OSs and found not to define the netlist type in the .cshrc of linux OS. After added "setenv CDS_Netlisting_Mode Analog" in the .cshrc and reboot the station, every thing is OK!!

  • Re: Interpreted label on instance [error]

Hi, The version is IC51. And the symbols use the SKILL label(ex: iPar(arg) etc., arg is defined in CDF). There is no simulation operation, only the schematic edit. Maybe there is sth wrong about the arg inherited from the CDF defined parameters? I guess. Regards, Moore...

  • Interpreted label on instance [error]

hi, Please tell me the solution of this error. The interpreted label on instance will be disappeared occasionally when fitting or resizing current schematic window in composer. and the CIW shows the warning info: *WARNING* ilMakeString: NULL String, changed to "". Thank you for your advice...

  • ocean problem &ocnPrint!

I write ocean script for parameter analysis and use ocnPrint to print some simulation result. For example: fp=outfile( "./paramResults.out" "a" ) risetime_netA=riseTime(clip(VT("/C5") 5e-08 9e-08) 0 nil VAR("core_voltage") nil 10 90)*1e09 ocnPrint(?output fp ?numSpaces...

  • AEL expression in CDF

Hi, I'm trying to modify a resistor value in its CDF via an conditional expression as below (iPar("b1")==1) ? iPar("p3") : iPar("p4") where b1, p3 and p4 are previously defined in the CDF. The AEL reference document lists "?:" as a valid operator. But it doesn't...

  • Virtuoso ADE bug: netlist regenerated even when clicking yellow light

Whenever I click the yellow light (the run button) and NOT the green light (netlist and run), a new netlist is generated anyway. Is this a bug? Is there some setting that I should change to stop this from happening? Thanks, Daisy
