  • Re: Run into problem with calculator plotting
I have exactly the same problem, but what's weird is that Calculator worked absolutely fine for me, and suddenly stopped working one day. I cannot plot anything with Calculator, but if I save the outputs to be plotted in ADE prior to running the simulation, the waveforms all plot. I use IC6.1.3.1. What puzzles me is that suddenly ...

  • Re: How to run Monte Carlo simulation in Virtuoso ADE L 6.1.3.500.5
Ah, thanks very much for clarifying this as I was wasting a lot of time figuring out how to do this. It was trivial to do in IC5.

  • Re: Corner Analysis with IC6.1.3 and AMS HIT-Kit v4.00
Just in case anybody has the same problem, the resolution is to use the HIT-Kit utilities menu to define corners and save a DCF file, which then can be loaded in ADE XL.

  • Re: How to run Monte Carlo simulation in Virtuoso ADE L 6.1.3.500.5
In IC6 ADE XL, how do you append the results of 1 MC run to another? I ticked "Save Data to allow family plots" in the Simulation Options form, but I cannot figure out how to append the data from multiple runs.

  • Corner Analysis with IC6.1.3 and AMS HIT-Kit v4.00
I am getting a strange error when running a corner analysis using the AMS script defined button on the Command Interpreter Window (HIT-Kit Utilities -> Simulation Utilities -> Corner Analysis). The first time I do this it works fine, but when I run a simulation and try to change the process corner and update the ADE with it, I get an ...

  • Re: CDF parameters of vpulse in analogLib
Hi Eric, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately neither of those references are of much help. I did check both before posting my original query, and the information contained in chapter 8 is restricted either to a bare 1 line description that is of no help in using them, or none at all. The command line help does not list the CDF parameters I ...

  • CDF parameters of vpulse in analogLib
Can somobody please tell me what the non-obvious CDF parameters such as "Frequency name for 1/period", "Noise file name", Number of noise/fre pairs" etc listed in component properties of analogLib sources (eg vpulse) mean, and how to use them? Nothing in the documentation actually explains this, it just lists the CDS ...

  • Re: LVS Analysis Error
Thanks Allen, a few changes in the rule file to point to the corrrect cells fixed things.

  • Re: LVS Analysis Error
Could someone also please shed some light on the following! All the predefined cells in this particular tutorial use parameterised cells from a library called pCells. Nowhere is the samples library used in the actual layout, at any level of hierarchy. The explanation provided in the tutorial is that device occurences in the layout are identifed ...

  • Re: LVS Analysis Error
Derek, Many thanks for replying. The sample library is a read only library. Is it necessary to actually copy this library somewhere and redefine everything to point to the new library? Is this some kind of bug?
