  • Re: Communicating with SPICE from C++
One way will be somewhat faster - if you just want to run a simulation on a cir file (and not a sim profile). Use system("psp_cmd cir_file.cir") It will run simulation and generate an out file of the same name as the cir file. This command will not launch any GUI so will be faster than calling pspice.exe .. • Re: PSpice Capture Lite Error No Pspice Template
Hi, You can use a number of Ground symbols from CAPSYM library (e.g. 0, GND, GND_EARTH). Alternatively, on the Place Part toolbar, you can click on the Ground symbol (or select Menu item Place\Ground). This will bring up a dialog and allow you to select one of the valid Ground symbols.  Also, make sure that the ground symbol pin is ...

Hi, Could you also post the cir and/or the netlist file that is getting generated? Also - are you using Capture for creating the schematic? .. Abha

  • Re: PSpice Capture Lite Error No Pspice Template
Hi Martychi, You should not need the registry entry if you are using a recent PSpice version like SPB 16.3 or SPB 16.5 In previous versions, the installer used to create this entry. If you want to create the entry manually, create the following keys: Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cadence Design Systems - Create key ...

  • Re: PSpice Capture Lite Error No Pspice Template
Hi, This could happen if your pspice.ini is not configured correctly. You should check the registry value for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cadence Design Systems\Interchange\ProductConfiguration\Shared\PSpiceConfigFile Its value should be path to a valid PSpice.ini file. This file usually lies at \tools\PSpice\PSpice.ini Please check this and let ...

  • Re: Variable changes with time
There are only 2 variables - CAP and Vin. Vin controls the change in capacitance, and CAP is just a multiplier. Equivalent capacitance across the output pins of VC_CAP is equal to Vin * CAP Hope that helps. .. Abha

  • Re: Increasing the Simulation Step Time for 1 ns..?
There is no way to set the minimum time step - only max time step can be specified by the user. This is to ensure that the simulation results are correct. A simulator would automatically try to maximize the time step for optimum performance. You have set the print time step as 1ns, and have inadvertently made the simulation much slower than it ...

  • Re: problem about pspice simulation
You don't have a valid PSpice license. The evaluation version (which is free) has certain limitations, e.g. circuit size.
