  • Re: Default Package Height
Thanks oldmouldy, that did the trick!  It did in fact, work dynamically too.  I changed the default value and viewed it in 3D and could see all of the packages that were missing heights.  Thanks again. --Mark

  • Default Package Height
I am fine tuning the package height properties in my designs in order to use them in the 3D View in Allegro, as well as export them to our Mechanical Engineer for use in ProE. I've got most everything working to get the height property from capture to allegro, but I was wondering where in Allegro I can set the default height of components ...

  • Re: OrCAD Capture "Update Cache" not working?
I've been plagued by this issue for a long time.  I am running v16.6-S0013 (7/1/2013) and it still has the issue. Is there a particular ISR that fixed this?

  • Re: OrCAD Capture 16.5 Start Page (16.6 too)
I updated to OrCAD Capture 16.6 yesterday and the Start Page has returned.  If go to Accessories>Cadence Tcl/Tk Utilities>Utilities, no window appears when I choose "Utilities".  Is this a bug?  Or did this menu get moved somewhere?  Is there another way to turn off this Start Page, such as a command line ...

It was just that easy.  Very clear directions too.  You're my hero.  Thank you very much oldmouldy.

  • Route Keepout Questions
     1.  When I use Route Keepouts, I get DRC errors when there is a via within this Route Keepout.  The actual DRC is "Thru Via to Route Keepout Spacing".  Pretty much all of the time, I don't mind that there is a via in the Route Keepout, as long as there is no route connected to it.  For instance, if I have a ...

  • Odd Padstack Creation Help
OrCAD PCB Designer v16.5 I'm trying to create a padstack for the middle pad of this part: http://media.digikey.com/pdf/Catalog%20Drawings/Filters/NFL21S_FTPRNT-v1.jpg When using the "Multiple Drill" option in the Padstack Designer, it doesn't look like those drills are plated, nor have any option to have pads on the top ...

  • WARNING(ORCAP-36006): Part Name....
I get warnings like this all of the time... #5 WARNING(ORCAP-36006): Part Name "C0805_Y5V_10UF_16V_C_3216_ACASE_10UF" is renamed to "C0805_Y5V_10UF_16V_C_3216_ACASE". ...sometimes dozens per design.  I understand that they're just warnings and I can probably ignore them, but they are quite annoying to see every time ...
