    As Andrew says, APS is the way to go if you can. I'm afraid I have nothing useful to add other than that APS is absolutely fantastic and we're now doing simulations we never would've dreamt of before. Thanks Cadence!

     I'm not sure where it's documented, but the piece of information I find most useful is that the ~>? operator can be used to interogate objects for their members. So in the CIW try:  cv = dbOpenCellViewByType(...) cv~>? This should print the members of the cv object.

     You might find that this is a permissions issue - if you can get write access to the analogLib directory and then run the simulation, it might work. This would only need to be done the once I think. Cheers, Roger

     Further details I've been told: "The problem occurs when the design library is attached to one tech library, but the instances used in the layout of the design library are attached to another tech library."  So in the AMS case, your library is probably attached to TECH_C35B4, whereas the instances from PRIMLIB are ...
