  • Re: Finding shapes outside prBoundary
If you are using Cadence 6.1.x and the cv~>prBoundary~>points is nil, then you don't have a prBoundary. The code should check for this. if(cv~>prBoundary then   do the main body of code else   do alternative - possibly return all shapes   at least print error message about missing boundary )  Derek

  • Re: Changing bBox of cell using dbTransformBBox/geTransformUserBBox
Take a look at this post: http://www.cadence.com/Community/forums/p/14901/26010.aspx#26010 For 6.1.x designs, I had to add the following two commands (to the function in the referenced post) to further help with errant bBoxes:         mapcar('dbDeleteObject ...

The information is there, you just need to go deeper. Notice that there are three "instTerms":  instTerms     (db:0x169e6e94 db:0x169e6e93 db:0x169e6e92) Try: css()~>instTerms~>?? foreach(it css()~>instTerms printf("inst name: %s   term name: %s  net name: %s\n" ...

  • Re: Bindkey in IC615
Add this to your .cdsenv, then restart Cadence. In 6.1, the default is for you to be able to access Cadence menu items using the Alt key much like you can do in Microsoft software. Alt-F would drop down the file menu, then you could press another key to run a command from that menu. To work like 5.1.41, you need to disable this ...

  • Re: how to strmout out and strmout in GDS in IC615 with command.
The streamout template syntax has changed in version 6. However, you can run pipo2Xstrm.pl to convert your template to the new syntax. You could also export your template from the Cadence user interface. The new command to run in 6.1.x is strmout (not pipo). Run it with no arguments to see all of the available command line arguments. If you want ...

  • Re: Problems with: drLoadDrf("~/GHzT/display.drf" nil)
It could be that the library containing the cellview you are opening has a display.drf defined inside of it. To work around the problem, you could open the library in your .cdsinit before running the drLoadDrf command. In our projects, we have a PDK library that contains all of our technology file settings and a default display.drf. This library ...

  • Re: User Preference
If you had followed Andrew's suggestion, you'd have found this one difference in your .cdsenv: ui showOptionForms boolean t As he suggested, you could then run this command: envSetVal("ui" "showOptionForm" 'boolean t) or envSetVal("ui" "showOptionForm" 'boolean nil) Derek
