  • Re: Xdefault for LSW menu text
     Figured it out.  I have been using EOD (Exceed on Demand).  There is a setting that lets it support multiple display depths at the same time and that causes the LSW window issues.

     I currently have:   Opus.foreground:                Black When I query the defaults I get:     % xrdb -query | grep Opus Opus*XmText*Translations:       #override\n <Key>Delete: delete-previous-character()\n ...

  • Xdefault for LSW menu text
    For some reason the menu choices in my IC51 LSW window are super faint and hard to read but all of the other menus (Virtoso Layout Editing, CIW, etc) are black and easy to read.  I looked through the list of app-defaults in the manual and nothing is jumping out to me as "oh yeah, that one" for where to fix this.   Anyone know ...

  • Re: saving verilog-a triggers compilation instead of just syntax check
    You were on the right track Andrew.  Turns out that the environment variable we use to pick MMSIM version was set incorrectly and our deployment system then told the IC tools to use the super old spectre that was bundled with it (spectre-5).  Fixing that to point to a much more modern MMSIM made the issue go away.   Thanks -Dan

  • saving verilog-a triggers compilation instead of just syntax check
     For some reason that I do not understand, when I open up a verilog-A view from the library manager, make some edits and then exit, instead of just running the normal verilog-a syntax check, it seems to want to compile the ahdlcmi stuff giving me a mylib/mycell/veriloga/veriloga.va.ahdlcmi/ directory with the compiled model in it.  I ...

  • Re: strmin error (XSTRM-1048)
     Hi Colin,   The streamin actual fails on that error and stops translating so I only have some of the structures.   -Dan

  • Re: strmin error (XSTRM-1048)
     parts of the design were migrated from IC5141 but the whole database is IC61 now and the streamout was done with the same IC61 version as the stream in.  I tried checkPolygon and without checkPolygon in the stream in.  Looks like during stream out I did not have checkPolygon selected so I'll try that.

  • strmin error (XSTRM-1048)
    When trying to stream in a particular GDS file in IC615 I get the following error after a bunch of cells translate correctly:  ERROR (XSTRM-1048): Number of points for a line must be at least two Any idea how to identify the problem?  Is there an option to ignore?  Should I be able to find this in a stream out log since I created ...

  • dialogs come up behind other windows
    Not sure if this is a cadence specific thing or a general window manager config issue or something else but I'm having the following problem.  I am using gnome desktop with metacity as the window manager.  I use IC Manage (including the IC Manage library manager as a design data management tool.  I have noticed that in virtuoso ...
