  • Re: Export results of Monte Carlo simulation using cds_srr
Hi Andrew, My second question: 2) I do not want separate mismatch statistics. Just normal tran results with mismatches accounted for. Is this the final data that is stored? Or are they separate?   I mean, the simulation first does a nominal sim and then followed by a monte carlo sim. So one would think that the two simulation data are ...

  • Export results of Monte Carlo simulation using cds_srr
Hi,   I simulate a VCO in my design and export results to MATLAB using the cds_srr() function. Now, to account for mismatches, I want to run a Monte Carlo simulation (only 1 run).  1) Is there any change in the way I export the data into MATLAB after a MC run?  2) I do not want separate mismatch statistics. Just normal tran ...

  • Re: RE: Data update issue using SpectreRF MATLAB toolbox
Hi,  Sorry for the really late reply but an update to MMSIM 12.1 did the trick. Now when I invoke MATLAB and try to import data, I get an info message in command window saying  "Results have been changed. Reloading..." So, it works!   Thanks! -Nikhil

  • Re: RE: Data update issue using SpectreRF MATLAB toolbox
Hi,   Sorry about that! I thought it would be common to all since its a MATLAB command.  Here is the version details: Virtuoso Ver: 6.1.4.500.12 MATLAB Ver: 2011b Spectre: 7.1.1.426.isr27    I don't think it should be data dependent though because I am just importing waveform data into MATLAB like you would do for ...

  • Data update issue using SpectreRF MATLAB toolbox
Hi,   I am trying to do post-processing on my output signals in MATLAB using the SpectreRF toolbox. I use the cds_srr() command in MATLAB to import the signal data into MATLAB and take it from there. However, each time I re-run a simulation in spectre which a change in some parameters that will change the output waveforms as well,  the ...

  • Mixed-Signal simulations on FPGA using batch file
Hi, I am trying to design an ADC simulation on Cadence but my professor says that I can simulate the analog portion on Cadence and then output the simulation values in a batch file. Using the values in the batch file as inputs to the FPGA (Xilinx Virtex-6), which has the rest of the digital circuit of the ADC, I can make it work. Is this ...
