    Let me simplify what I am trying to do. I want to change the placement GRID from 0.2 to 0.8 by updating SITE info SITE std_site SYMMETRY Y ; CLASS CORE ; SIZE 0.8 BY 2.4 ; END std_site But does not seems to work.

    Thanks Brian, I will look into relative fllorplaning with array option doc. Right now online support is not working for us.  Meanwhile I did an experiment by chaning Macros to class CORE and was able to see them  placed at the correct SITEs.  Gert ( Cadence AE) did mention that its not a good idea going forward, macros should ...
