  • Re: How to Create Custom holes in PCB Board design
Thanks for your information, friends. I have come across one more issue. Initially i created foot print for LM358. I have given Blue color to all the SMD pads. Now, my first pin's pad is shown dissimilar. My first pin is displayed with some sort of cross lines embedded inside the pads. Is this a big issue. Is it possible to overcome this ...

  • Re: How to Create Custom holes in PCB Board design
Ya, i use Board Geometry / Outline option to represent outline of my board as well as the area needed to be cut. My doubt is, will there be any confusion between my board outline and the unwanted area to be cut.? Cos, Both the things are mentioned using Board Geometry / Outline.  Do i need to mention this to Fabrication house?

  • How to Create Custom holes in PCB Board design
Hi, I have been developing a simple PCB board which contains a PIR sensor, an LDR and some other discrete components along with MSP430G2231. I have done outlines for my board according to its dimension. Now, i would like to cut some part in middle of the board. Is it possible to do this, cos, i have seen some board in which part in middle of the ...

  • Re: How to design PCB Footprint for SMD Transistor
Thanks ScottCad. Now i could design footprint for this component. Well, I get struck while i come to design footprint for Crystal Oscillator where i have to merge one SMD pad with a via. This pad is connected to ground plane to take out the heat produced by the crystal oscillator. Is it possible to create this kind of pad using cadence allegro ...

  • How to design PCB Footprint for SMD Transistor
Hi friends,       As i am very new to PCB designing using CADENCE Allegro, i would like to know how to design foot print for SMD Transistor which is shown here. As per my knowledge, i have created foot print for micro controlles(QFP) whose pin numbers are same in four faces. But, here, we have only one pin in one direction and two ...
