  • Re: Problem running PSpice simulation from OrCAD Capture
If "Vin" had worked, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Naming the IN net has no effect. So then, since I am annoyed, I will critique what appears to be an incomplete attempt to edit a correction to the problem in the PSpice User's Guide. In the latest online PSpice User's Guide a new figure is added: Figure ...

  • Re: Problem running PSpice simulation from OrCAD Capture
Thanks, that was helpful in that it guided me to the answer to my original question. So, to sum up, the information in Chapter 2 - Figure 6 - DC sweep analysis settings in the PSpice User's Guide, Second Edition 31 May 2000, is incorrect in one regard. When setting up the Simulation Profile, replace Voltage Source Name: "Vin" with ...

  • PSpice Model Editor v16.5: What versions of IBIS are supported?
The PSpice Model Editor IBIS Translator option fails to translate a Fairchild NC7WZ02 IBIS file.  I've included the first 21 lines below. The translator stops at line 10 with "ERROR (line 10) - Invalid IBIS Version (3.2). ABORTING!!" Is this really a version compatibility problem or something else? Thanks in Advance - ...

  • Re: IBIS models simulator
You can try importing the IBIS model by running the PSpice Model Editor. Under the Model dropdown menu you will find an "IBIS Translator..." option. That is as far as I got, because the IBIS model I got from Fairchild caused the editor to barf due to the IBIS version number.  Good luck!

  • Problem running PSpice simulation from OrCAD Capture
The first simulation example in the PSpice User's Guide is made up of 2 voltage sources, 2 diodes, 4 resistors and 1 capacitor. When I  run the simulation from OrCAD Capture, it fails with: "ERROR(ORPSIM-15090): DC device Vin is undefined".  I found that I can edit the PSpice netlist file to get the simulation to run in ...

  • Problem seeing parts in capsym.olb e.g. OFFPAGELEFT-R
I am following the "Example circuit creation" steps in the PSpice User Guide.  I ran into a problem when I reached the point to place the OFFPAGELEFT-R symbol. I added the capsym.olb library but, unlike my success with the previous libraries, no parts show up in the Part List when CAPSYM is highlighted. I then tried ...
