  • noise model issue
Hello, Would someone please explain to me this issue when I use different versions of the spectre APS simulator? I was using the pnoise analysis on circuit that contains hicum (bht) model, by MMSIM 12.1 vs 7.2. The MMSIM12.1 result is pessimistic and contains noise sources called iciei1 and iciei2 in the printed noise summary, while ...

  • Re: ocean XL monte carlo abort on internal error
Hi Andrew, I indeed had set 'maxjobs' less than the number of corners (or number of test points) in a single mc run. Now I changed it to a higher value, hoping that once a simulation encounters an error, it won't affect the other simulations which are still running. The fatal error is somewhat expected in my simulation, ...

  • ocean XL monte carlo abort on internal error
Dear All,   In ocean XL monte carlo simulation, it seems the job controller will abort all unfinished jobs once it detects that one of the simulation has an fatal/internal error. Is there a way to resume the computation even if there is such an error? Thanks, Fred

  • Is it possible to use "saveLocalPsfDir " variable in ocean xl?
Hi,  Is it possible to use "saveLocalPsfDir " variable in ocean xl?   I have set saveLocalPsfDir and useLocalPsfDir in my .cdsenv file, but the resulting psf's still occur in my regular simresult path. Is this expected? By the way, I have used ocnxlResultsLocation() in my ocnxl script, is it because of ...

  • Re: how to create a runobjfile to plot a family of curves by using ocean skill.
I kind of figured out a way to deal with this, in case anyone needs it. The best tool to generate the runObjFile is probably the Parametric Analysis itself. To use this, you will have to configure the parametric thing the way you normally do, but in the Ade Analyses list, only leaves dc enabled, which will cost less time for it to simulate. The ...
