  • umc 180 nm LVS with Calibre
First I must say I must not sure if this should be asked here or Mentor's forums, anyways because I have used this forum before I will fire it up here... While using Virtuoso for custom layout on UMC 180 and trying LVS check with Calibre I have a problem with ports. In theory that should be easy as defining the layer of the pin same as ...

  • Re: transient analysis for CV plot
Hi Andrew,  sorry for the many edits. I need a vsin source with a specific frequency, and then have the DC voltage change during the transient simulation. I tried with dynamic parameters a little bit, so I made a file for DC voltage with respect to time:   "tscale 1e-6 time value 0   -5 100 -4.5 ... 2000 ...

  • Re: transient analysis for CV plot
Ok, probably it is Dynamic parameter option... I will work it out thanks, sotiris

  • Re: transient analysis for CV plot
Hi Andrew and thanks for your fast response! I am using a vsin source and i want for a specific frequency to sweep its dc offset (or a dc voltage source in series). thanks, Sotiris

  • transient analysis for CV plot
Hi everyone, I want to maka a CV plot of MOSFET capacitances. By using ac analysis this is easy. The problem is that i want to keep all dc sources because they are used to bias some other controlling part of circuit. In essense I want to do transient analysis and sweep a dc source at the same time. How is this possible through ...

  • transient noise spectre
Hi all. In transient analysis there is an option for taking into account noise. Which  noise components for a MOSFET are being taken into account (ie channel thermal, 1/f etc) or this is model dependent (ie BSIM4 noise parameters supplied). What exactly noise contibution is supposed to do? For example if in a resistanse i choose in generate ...

  • Re: Changing instance properties though SKILL
Thanks Derek! This was very helpful! I was confused over whether to call something by its name /instance id etc. Now its solved and my SKILL script works just fine! Thanks again, Sotiris

  • Re: Changing instance properties though SKILL
Hi Derek, Thanks for your reply. When you say inst~>prop~>name in ICW you mean for inst i choose the instance name in properties? for example I have generated the schematic through SKILL but when i type:  "U78"~>"Total Width"~>name  I get: *Error* get/getq: first arg must be either symbol, list, ...

  • Changing instance properties though SKILL
Hi everyone I am using SKILL to generate a schematic. So I am using schReplaceProperty function, but i have some problems. How can I get the names used for the instance parameters? The way i do it is call: inst=dbCreateInst(...) inst=list(inst) schReplaceProperty(inst "name" "value")  So for  width appearing ...
