  • grid and route/spacing indicators
I would like to see shown on the screen, say along the bottom in the "Aux/script text" area the present grid and/or the default routing and spacing settings.  I don't like having to go back to menus and check these. I'd prefer to see it on display on the screen. Does anyone have a script for this?  Also, years ago ...

  • Plane creation in Orcad Layout V16.5
I have a very odd shaped PCB outline and wish to make planes for it. Somewhere in my background I remember the ability to create a shape the same shape of the outline using the menus and being able to reduce the shape to be 50mil smallerthan the outline. Does anyone remember this ability in Allegro.  I was using Allegro until 2 yrs ago but ...

(V16.5)   I would like to have better comunications between capture and layout. I'd like to be able to select a part in one and have it go to the location of the other so ...

  • Re: Align tool
I just downloaded it into Orcad Layout V16.5 and already like what I see. I have yet to discover all that it can do but will save me time in the future. Have you been able to right any script to allow users to rotate parts while in the move command?

  • RE: Placing a component
I am familiar with and do use placeboundaries. But even with them in place I can still place a part on top of another. Alan Fisch APF Circuit Design Ottawa, Ontario

  • Placing a component
Its been 2 years since I used Allegro/Orcad.  I know this might be a small request but my memory isn't what it used to be.  How do I set placement such that I can not place a footprint on top of each other? I want to see a warning and not be allowed to place a part. APF
