HI Quek, Sorry. I figured it out. I can export the oceanscript from ADE. It has the option to limit the number of license. Thank you for the help! Zhenyu

Hi Quek, It worked. But, it got too many licenses(6 of them). With ADE, I can set "Multithreading options" as "manual" and "number of threads" as 1 to limit the number of licenses down to 2. Can I do the same with Ocean Script? Thank you. Zhenyu

It is for spectre and APS. The version of Virtuoso is 5.1.141... To elaborate a little more, we have a device that is described by a Spectre subcircuit in an text file. I have a model file that I intentionally place a few parameters. Those parameters will be set with a symbol associated with that model file. My quesiton is how to pass the parameters from symbol to the model files?

APS license usage
It is great to get ~4X simulation speed boost and improved convergence with APS single thread option. But, I do not understand why it eats up two licenses (Virtuoso_APS_MMSIM and Virtuoso_Multi_mode_Simulation). I am just using single thread option. Also, what is the difference between APS SC and APS XL licenses? Thank you.

I am looking for easier way to achieve the following. In the schematic, the mos device have number of fingure=5 and multiplier=5 with a instance name of N1. I would like to change its finger and multiplier from 5 to 1 and rename the instance name as N1<1:25>. How can I achieve it? Ocean, or skill or other easier ways? Thank you. ...
