  • Is it possible to have a different drc clearance value within a component ?
     I have a fine pitch SMT PLCC.    I would like to have a different SMD pin to SMD pin clearance value for that part only. For example, I want a 12 mil clearance for SMD pin to SMD pin on the entire board, but want a 6 mil clearance within this one SMT PLCC footprint (symbol).

    You could also add a shape or line to a dumb layer, and add that layer to your gerber outputs.   The only problem with that though is there is no DRC for it, and your netlist will not match the connectivity.     I think your best option would be to add the 4th pin to the schematic as pin 4 and be done with it.

     I tried this, and it works great !    Only one thing, but not important. The  issue was on a couple of my parts I did not have a pin1, (I had pin A and K) it exited with error (Symbol "Cr54" has no pin 1. E- *Error* max: can't handle max(nil -1000000.0). So maybe have a pin name selection box ...
