  • Re: abutment and controlling S/D dropping
Andrew, Thank you for your reply. It confirms what I thought might be the answer. I do believe the callback in our param form is custom to us. Unfortunately I as an end user I have no control over this and also want to make my Skill code as generic as I can since we use many PDKs at my place and they are bound to be inconsistent in how, and ...

  • abutment and controlling S/D dropping
I am an end user layout engineer. I am not a developer of PDKs or Pcells, etc. so I am at the mercy of what is given me to use for the most part. I do develop SKILL code for automation of the layout task. One of the problems we encounter is when we abut pcell mos devices and the source/drain of one of the abuted devices drops off. That is all fine ...

  • Re: How to get Transform data of elements within a Mosaic
This did the trick! Worked perfectly for what I needed. Thanks again! Ron

  • Re: How to get Transform data of elements within a Mosaic
Early look at this looks promising, but I've been pulled onto something else for a bit so will let you know more when I get back onto this but it looks like the row column set to t is getting me just what I need. Thanks!

  • How to get Transform data of elements within a Mosaic
I am using  dbGetTrueOverlaps to extract data under my cursor through all levels of hierarchy. Ultimately I am striving to get the closest vertex of a path embeded down in the hierarchy to my current (top level) cursor location. I have no problem getting this resolved through all levels of hierarchy with one exception, Mosaics. I currently ...

  • Change Cross Cursor color?
I would like the color of my cross cursor to change color based on if the cellview needs to be saved or not. It would be nice if it was green for when the cell view has been saved and yellow or red if it needs to be saved due to modifications. Any idea how I could do this?

  • Re: copying pins in Skill
...nevermind.... I figured out that after I do a dbCopyFig if I do a  dbCreatePin of the copy then it works how I need it to... unless anyone has an easier/better way, or answer to why an leHiCopy would retain pin props and dbCopyFig does not... ? ? ?

  • copying pins in Skill
With writing this Skill code I am working on I need to copy pins that already exist in my layout. I've tried using dbCopyFig and dbCopyShape. Both of these do a copy and take the pin text with it. However, the end result is that the rectangle and attached text is not being recognized as pins. I know that when I select a pin in a layout and use ...

  • Re: Object selected banner message
I just joined the forums and ran acros this post. Back when I was using release 5.x I wrote a program that did exactly this. I utilized the function hiChangeBannerLabel() to add labels to the banner. The program I wrote gathered information about what was selected and then passed this info on to the hiChangeBannerLabel fucntion. To make this ...

  • Re: How to modify or manipulate bBox in layout (Virtuoso, IC 5141 USR4)
Using IC6.1.4.500.6 and this problem still exists (low priority I guess). I have had success in fixing 'runaway' bBoxes with using Move Origin.
