    Hi All, Running SPB16.6. My current lib path is: PSMPATH =  .             symbols             ..             ../symbols             C:/Cadence/SPB_16.6/share/local/pcb/symbols      ...

  • CREF error
Hi All, I'm running SPB16.6-S024. My question is about Design Entry HDL. I took an existing schematic from another person and modified it. I added some off page connectors, and this is where the problem came in. When I tried to run the CRefer tool I got the following error....... ........sch_1\page1.csb: No known page border ...

  • RefDes underline
Hi All, I'm running 16.6-S021. My question has to do with schematic capture. Whenever I change a component's reference designator, the new refdes appears with an underline. (Ex. R10 will become R99). How can I prevent this? I just want R99, not R99. Thanks! Bob

  • Re: link pcb and schematic
Hi All, We still use a 3rd party to layout/fab our boards, but now I would like to know if there is a way to link a schematic and pcb other than generating a netlist from the schematic.  I'm using 16.6-S018. Thanks! Bob

  • Bar over pin name
Hi All, I can't find a reference to this anywhere. Looked in the help files and the how-to videos. I'm making new schematic symbols and some of the pin names have a bar over their name. Is there a way to force the system to put a bar above the name? Presently I just manually draw a line above the name. Thanks! Running ...

  • Re: multiple part symbols
Thanks Oldmouldy! I actually did the RMB>Split Part and saw the spreadsheet. I knew I could change the number of parts and add pins, but I didn't realize that the part would then save as heterogeneous, so I never tried to save it. I abandoned my effort one step too soon! Thanks for all of your good answers to this forum. Bob

  • multiple part symbols
Hi All, I'm using 16.5. I started to make a new symbol with one part/package. I have about 100 pins, out of 250+ pins, placed on this package. Now I decided to add a second part and make this a two parts/package symbol. I clicked on OPTIONS/PACKAGE PROPERTIES and I can change the Parts per Pkg to 2, but the Heterogeneous radio button is ...

  • Re: BOM
Thanks oldmouldy! For now I did a workaround by copying the data from the two "drum" columns to two unused columns with the schematic icon. Then I rename them in Excel. I'll try loading the schematic parts into the database when time permits.  Bob
