  • Re: Can't choose directory for netlist files
No joy when running as administrator. The behavior is the same.

  • Can't choose directory for netlist files
When netlisting from Design Entry CIS for the PCB editor, the dialog box is drawn with the right side of the box including the browse button for the Netlist Files Directory obscured.  It's a major painto have to type an absolute path into the box which not coincidentally doesn't show the whole path.   Resizing the ...

  • Re: Default Toolbars in Capture CIS
Many thanks! I have to say I did not expect to edit the registry, but it did the trick.

  • Default Toolbars in Capture CIS
Does anyone know how to set which toolbars are visible by default in Capture?  I would like the 'Draw' toolbar to be visible by default everytime I open the schematic editor, but have found no setting that sticks between the times I start the tool.  The Capture, Part Manager, and Search toolbars are handily checked when I open ...

  • Re: Turning off 3D footprint viewer in CIS Explorer?
Again, thanks for your advice. Unfortunately, this does not latch the 3D view to OFF as desired. In a fit of pique, I even went so far as to uninstall the tool set, then re-install, specifically not selecting the installation of the footprint viewer. All to no avail. Now, my only recourse is to turn off the 3D viewer toolbar, undock ...

  • Re: Turning off 3D footprint viewer in CIS Explorer?
Thanks, but I think this is not the cause of my problem. When I deselect foot print viewer in the View>ToolBar menu, I no longer see the tool bar itself, but every time I select a part, I get the 3D view window regardless of the state of the ToolBar menu selection. I've attached a screenshot of the CIS Explorer showing the 3D view. ...

  • Turning off 3D footprint viewer in CIS Explorer?
Using Capture 16.3, we show both 2D and 3D versions of component footprints in CIS Explorer, and our library has inconsistent height info so the 3d footprint viewer just takes up space in the tool windows. How do we get rid of the 3D footprint viewer window? Any advice is much appreciated.
