I have a part I'm trying to place that is misspelled from the schematic. Do I have to go back to the schematic and fix it there, or can I change it in the layout, and eventually back-annotate the correct part callout to Capture?

For example, the correct spelling is  EIA-D-BIGPADS,but it came over from Capture as EIA-D-BIG_PADS.

Is the text the ref desg?  If it is, you can change it in Layout and back annotate it to Capture.  Anything else you may want to change it back in the original library and update the part so nothing is forgotten.
