How to run LVS in Allegro Reply

Sorry if this is in the help files that come with the Cadence files, but I'm at the end of my rope with this. I can't seem to figure out how to run an LVS check on the .brd file that I have created. I know that this is an extremely easy question, but I have no one here to teach me this program and Google searches have turned up next to nothing. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi vandervander15

There is no official LVS tool in Allegro platform. You will need to use either Assura or PVS to do a schematic-vs-schematic (SVS) check. This essentially means that you will provide 2 netlists as inputs. The 2 netlists would be:

    a. "wirelist" from Design Editor CIS
    b. Netlist report from Allegro PCB Editor

Alternatively, you can use "Design Compare" function in Allegro PCB Editor. As this question is related to Allegro platform and not Virtuoso, I think you can get a better answer if you post it to our Allegro forum.

    Best regards

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that Assura was a utility within the Allegro PCB Editor platform, but clearly it's not. I have the Cadence suite of tools, but it doesn't look like I have Assura or PVS within that package. Looks like I'm just going to go with the "Design Compare" function in Allegro PCB Editor.

    Thanks again for the help.
