    voltage property error in entry HDL? Reply

    I am new to design entry hdl.I do the exercise following the tutorial (concepthdl_tut.pdf)step by step.
    when finish the schematic[creating a schematic:basic],I got the following warning:
    "INFO : HDL Power Symbol doesn't have voltage property. To turn off this warning please goto Tools->Options->Check and uncheck 'Voltage on HDL Symbols' option."

    when i disable the "Voltage on HDL sysmbols", i can't get the verilog.v output. It tell me that "Msg Error(send EditFile request):Unable to launch editor".
    Please help me,thanks.

    just add the voltage=x.xV property to the HDL power symbol. Maybe you should consider adding an visible $VOLTAGE='?' property into each HDL-power symbol.css file - that way you need to add the proper voltage value in your schematics (it will appear as '?' when placing your HDL-power symbol) but then it will be available at all.

    example: VCC_CIRCLE

    C 50 -50 "$PIN0" 55 -65 0 1 15 0 L
    L 50 -30 50 -50 -1 0
    A 50 -15 15 0.00 359.91 0
    T 60 -40 0.00 0.00 25 0 0 0 0 10 0
    VCC_CIRCLE
    P "BODY_TYPE" "PLUMBING" 55 -43 0.00 0.00 16 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
    P "HDL_POWER" "VCC_CIRCLE" 425 -125 0.00 0.00 41 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 32
    <--- add this here:
    P "$VOLTAGE" "?" 425 -75 0.00 0.00 41 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 32
    end add --->

    maybe you need to update the x/y coordinates to your needs ... but this will be your solution, I hope.

    Tobias
