pspice: solver 1, solver 0: which algorithms? Reply

Does anybody know which algorithms Pspice uses for 'solver 1' (the default) and 'solver 0'? Is the first trapezoidal and the second Gear, 2nd order? I read on the internet that solver 0 is the old one, and should be tried when solver 1 doesn't converge. But more information about the algorithms is not given.

    thanks, best regards!

These two are matrix solvers. Both of these would use same integration method. By default PSpice use Gear method, and now this has been made configurable by user, meaning user can select supported integration method for numerical analysis and this is independent of solver 0 or 1. To read mode details about solver 1 search for  "Sparse Matrix Techniques, in Circuit Analysis, Simulation and Design" By Kenneth Kundert
