    Netlist does not respect CDF Pinorder Reply

    I am trying to incorporate a synthesized digital block into my custom layouts. To complete LVS I have the netlist of the digital block in a cdl file and have made a CDF property with the order of my pins for auCdl (calibre) and a auCdl view (copy of symbol).

     However, the netlister does not respect the pinorder I have defined in the CDF, instead all the pins appear to be in alphabetical order.

     Is there anything I should try to force the netlister to respect the CDF termorder?

     One thought I have is that the PDK I am using has set a parameter to force aplhabetical netlisting. I am sure that I have used the exact same procedure in other PDKs in the past. Are there any settings I could check (and turn off) that might cause this behavour.

     Thanks,

    Julian

    Julian,

    Not entirely sure quite where you are trying to set the order (top or bottom of the hierarchy), but you probably need to set:

     auCdlCDFPinCntrl=t

    In your .simrc (e.g. ~/.simrc or ./.simrc).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
