ADE calculator function question
hi,i have a question about calculator function.Q1: i used to use in hspice the .measure statement offind v(a) when v(b)=v(c)but i don't know what function could acheive the same function in the ADE calculator. Q2: i am also trying to find the delay from whenv(b) crosses v(c)     to when v(a)=0.9v (for example)how can i do this in the calculator? I appreicate any help. thanks.Frank

Re: ADE calculator function question
 Frank,Something like this: A1. value(VT("/a") cross(VT("/b")-VT("/c") 0.0 1 "either"))A2. cross(VT("/a") 0.9 1 "either")-cross(VT("/b")-VT("/c") 0.0 1 "either")Regards,Andrew.

Re: ADE calculator function question
thanks Andrew, i  will give it a try now.is there a way to tell the calculator to wait T seconds, before doing the evaluation? Frank

Re: ADE calculator function question
Why would you want to do that? Sounds a bit odd to me... (there is a way, but I doubt very much that this is really what you want to do). Perhaps you can explain exactly what you're trying to do? Andrew.

Re: ADE calculator function question
hi Andrew,it is because it takes 10us for the transient waveform to stabilize to generate proper waveform. thx Frank

Re: ADE calculator function question
hi Andrew,i was able to later use the delay function which allowed me to specify the start time for the measurement. thanks. Frank

Re: ADE calculator function question
Frank,Ah, I thought you were talking about a real time delay rather than simulation time...You can also use functions such as clip to extract just a portion of the waveform.Kind Regards,Andrew.
