Number of Vias in a place bound region Reply

Hi all, i am new to this forum and new to skill..... i was wondering if anyone has a Skill script that could list the number of vias ( xy-cord), the via-padstack, and the package_hieght_min in a palce bound top and place bound bottom of package geometry?

also, if anyone has a skill script that could count the number of vias in a brd file. i would like to take a look and compare with mine. mine is not compiling.

    Thanks

To count all the vias in a brd file,

    - Set the find filter to only Vias

    - Turn on only the Via Class layers

    - Select All

    - Get the length of the selection set

To sort them by padstack you will need to loop on the selection set (foreach would be best) and put them into lists (or table) by padstack name. Then you can print the xy location for each padstack name.

Post your code, to get some feedback.
