    Switching layers Reply

Hello - When I create my assy dwg I show both a top and bottom view on a single sheet of my assy dwg.  I do this by turning on the appropriate layers for the top bottom view, creating an ipf (.plt) file of this view and then I bring it in to a new layer for the bottom view.  I mirror this detail before dropping it on my dwg so that the components and reference designators are viewed as if from the bottom.  (Text is right-reading)  Although I target my new layer for this detail prior to placing it the detail will always switch automatically to a Manufacturing "Pen" layer.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Hi - I have seen this happen before when trying to load a plot on a Subclass under Class Manufacturing, regardless if it was a newly created Subclass or not.   I load my plot files on Class Drawing Format to avoid the issue.  I also reset the Class and Subclass under the Options tab regardless if it was set correctly.

    Hope this helps,
    Mike Catrambone
