ps to pdf converter path in tcl/tk Reply

I am trying to use the pdf export option under Accessories in orcad. I have a pdf converter installed.

When I try to print I get "Postscript to pdf converter not found in path"

How do I enter the path of ps to pdf converter in tcl/tk.

There are 3 options - Adobe distiller, gs to pdf and custom. I tried with distiller and gs to pdf. No luck.

I downloaded gs to pdf converter. But I don't know how to enter the path. It's a bit strange, its not the usual c:\....

The Ghostscript command line in the TCL script is looking for gswin32c.exe, add the path to this to the PATH Environment Variable for the machine, Control Panel>System, Advanced tab, Environment Variables, add the directory for gswin32c.exe to the end of teh System PATH entry with a semi-colon - ; - in front of it. The script will then find teh converter, (You could set the entire path in the TCL script but this will not be very "update proof")

    oldmouldy,

I am using pdfcreator to print files to pdf format.

I entered the path in "system variables" in Environmental variables.

In tcl/tck pdfexport menu, for the postscript driver, I entred "pdfcreator" and for ps to pdf converter, I entered "custom"

What should I enter in the path window? I just entered the path for pdfcreator.

I tried leaving it blank and also tried entering "pdfcreator"

I Still get the same message - ps to pdf converter tool not found in path....

Cadence provide full installation instructions to get the pdf to work. You need to follow the instructions found in <your_install_dir>\tools\capture\tclscripts\OrCAD_Capture_TclTk_Extensions.pdf. Page 85 onwards goes through the printer setup and installing either Ghostscript (free) or Adobe Distiller (licensed) which is the postscript to PDF converter.
