 Move traces with part

    Move traces with part Reply

    Let's say I want to move a resistor that is already routed by 0.015" to the right. I select placement edit and move the part, but the traces do not stay connected. What option do I need to select to have the traces stay connected to the part on simple moves like this?

    After selecting the component to move enable Stretch Etch from the right mouse button (Options > Stretch Etch).  The Stretch Etch setting is also available from the standard Edit > Move via the options tab.  This will stretch the etch which is connected to the pins of the component you are moving.
