GC Prevue and drill file Reply

Has anyone had issues with the scaling of the drill file when viewed with GC Prevue?

Customer claims drill file comes in at about 1/4 size.

The drill data in GCPrevue frequently appears as 10x because the 2.3 format gets read as 3.2, sounds like you might be suffering from a different but related issue. Also, are the units consistent Imperial vs Metric in the desig data, that could have a quarter somewhere in it!

Yup, that's it. He changed the resolution settings and it now reads correctly. Thanks.

    Tom,

I've also run into this issue when using GC Prevue. A while ago I downloaded Viewmate. So now if GC Prevue shows me a mismatch, I switch over to Viewmate and it looks ok.........and vice versa. I realize this doesn't address the problem you had with your customer, but just as an FYI.

FYI.  If the Artwork film size is too large, it can fool Gerber Readers.  Set film size to the board size.  Also make sure both drill and artwork settings are the same (2.3, 2.5).  I keep leading and trailing zeros (much easier to read using a text editor).
