    What is "fast APS" mode? Reply

    In MMSIM 10.1, there is an APS mode (set by +aps) and a "fast APS" mode (set by ++aps). I have tried to find out the difference between these two modes in Cadence documentation, but am having trouble.  Can anyone help me out and explain the difference between these two modes?

    Hi Daly

    ++aps is currently still not fully ready for general customer usage. It allows some speed-up by using different time-steps for transient sim. You can try it out and feedback to your local Cadence support if there are any issues.

    Sorry, one correction. It is already ready for general customer use and is documented in $MMSIMHOME/doc/spectreref/spectreref.pdf since MMSIM11.
