sustaining marker (in) visibility in layout Reply

Is there a way to permanently or semi-permanently turn off marker visibility and/or creation?  They are quite annoying and serve only to clutter the view and get in the way of editting a layout and they are nearly always wrong.  Despite turning off the marker visibility in the LSW, nearly any action, like moving a shape or using Calibre, will cause them to be turned on again and not just visible but also selectable for some strange reason.  The selectability not only has me puzzled but gets in the way when I accidentally pick up a marker shape and try to do an editting action.  I'm not even in VXL but had the layout in VXL, then "launched" Layout L to get VXL to stop.  I've searched for some environment setting and have been unsuccessful.

The behaviour you're describing sounds rather strange. Please contact customer support so that we can investigate this with you.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
