    Soldermask Absence Reply

     Is ther any menu option or skill command  in Allegro to check if any component does not have soldermask or pastemask defined for its pins.At present i do this as a manual process.

    Hello Dave,

    Thanks for your file.I am able to view the components that do not have pastemask,but it is not showing the components that do not have soldemask.Do i need to give any other command to detect the solder mask also.

    I have another query regarding Soldermask.How do we increase the Solder mask globally for all the components in Allegro.

    Increasing Soldermask globally within Allegro is probably not a good idea. You should normally leave that operation for your fabricator who will swell to agreed specifications.

    Writing a Skill utility to swell soldermask pads is easy enough but I would hope that nobody is doing this.
