Error initializing COM property pages Doing netlist with cadence 16.3 under windows 7 Reply

Using cadence 16.3 under windows 7 I get "Error initializing COM property pages" when initiating a netlist.

This forum suggest the solution at http://www.cadence.com/Community/forums/p/14362/24198.aspx#24198

    ( commands regsvr32 pxllite.ocx & regsvr32 truereuse.ocx )

However, no succes: "The module "pxllite.ocx" failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specific path"

On Windows Vista and 7, User Account Control will probably stop this solution from working, the proven approach is to go to the Capture Shortcut, or exe, then right-click>Run As Administrator to start Capture, then open a design and create a netlist. The necessary components were configured to "auto register" when Capture runs and UAC prevents this from happening. (Or turn UAC off, this can be required for some Enterprise Editions of Windows 7). Capture only needs to be run once with elevated rights to get things working.
