Capture 16.3 - New Graphics file formats don't work Reply

Just tried to use the new Place -> Picture feature to place a pdf (and jpg, tif, png) graphic onto a schematic sheet.  The placed graphic is rendered/converted to horrible resolution making it illegible and useless.  The resolution appears to be of the order of the place grid size of 0.1 inch.

Surely CDS tested this "feature" before releasing it ?   I've tried all the file formats offered, including the imbedded OLE feature, but all of them give me un-usable results in the resulting graphic.  The original "native" picture files are the size and resolution needed.  Is there something I'm doing (or not) besides selecting the funtion off the menu that could be breaking it?

     Thanks in advance.

I see some issues you are mentioning. See if the following works for you - use Ole for pictures and use link (a checkbox) to file - it seems to work fine for me.
