    SNM calculation for SRAM Reply

     Hey,

     

    I am currently working on SRAM cell. I need to calculate the SNM-read, write and idle for my cell. I have the understanding of what is SNM. But i am not sure on how to plot the butterfly curve for the cell in cadance. Could any1 please help me with this.

    Hi Mohana,

    Not sure why you've filed this under RF design, because it's not really RF related. Anyway, there's an example of using SpectreMDL to do SNM measurements. See:

    <MMSIMinstDir>/tools/spectre/examples/MDL_workshop

    There's a pdf in there, and a gzipped tar file containing an example database. In the version I looked a, page 63 of the PDF talks about doing SNM

    Hi!

    Can anyone post like a detailed description of how to plot the butterfly curve. I'm totally new to Cadence so I'd need some help with this. Thanks
