    Sigwave - waveform with suffix "i" Reply

    I'm getting two waveforms for the receiver, one with suffix "i" in the nodename and another without. What does suffix "i" mean and what is the difference between the two waveforms?

    Your receiver pin is in a component with an IbisDevice model. The "i" node is the internal pin on the die.

    I found this explanation:

    "The waveforms are identified by the point at which the waveform is measured. For example, the waveform named B U1 62 is measured at the pin of the device, while the waveform named B U1 62i is measured prior to the pin of the device. This yields a waveform that includes the effects of the package parasitics (B U1 62) and one that does not (B U1 62i). If the signal model for the device does not include package parasitics, then the simulation does not produce the internal waveform (designated by the i)."

    So, from the receiver point of view, I should be looking at the waveform with "i" as this is what the pin on the die is going to see, correct?
