    Ultrasim parasitics spf file format for backannotation Reply

    Hi all.

     I have some problem with spf files. I want to do post-layout simulation with ultrasim. It is option in ultrasim to supply spf file with extraction information for backannotation. I have spf file I got from StarRCXT(synopsis extraction tool). But when I am trying to do simulation with this file, lot of errors occuring at the file parsing stage. Seems like my SPF file have format is different from format expected by UltraSim parser.

    So, the question is where I can read explanation about syntax of SPF file, as it needed for UltraSim parser? May be it is some example somwhere?

    Thanks EricCDN,

    it was very usefull.

    But i still have one problem. It is not use of transistor multiplyer in this example.THe extractor creates multiple transistor in extraction netlist. But it need to be coresponding to single transistor in schematic. So, what is the syntax in extracted netlist to say that multiple transistors is same transistor with multiplyer in schematic netlist?
