Allegro to Altium Conversion help Reply
     Hi,
I have Allegro PCB Editor license (ver 15.7). Now I need to convert an Allegro PCB file (.brd) to Altium Designer 6.7 version. Altium ver 8 and above allows direct conversion. To convert to Altium ver 6.7, I need a Layout Plus file or an ASCII file.
So, I need to know if my Allegro .brd file can be converetd to Orcad Layout compatible .max file?
Or whether I can extract ASCII files (.alg) from my .brd file?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Kindly reply back ASAP.
    Regards,
    Anjana.

Allegro reads in (converts) OrCAD layout but can not write them.  The best you might be able to do is export placement and gerber information.   Or...stay in Allegro.:)
